Objectives
Building a more inclusive access-to-justice framework.
01Promote equal access to justice for women, children, indigent and less privileged people in Sierra Leone through free, community-based legal aid and fair representation in police stations, detention facilities, courts and other appropriate avenues.
02Empower vulnerable groups through rights education and advocacy at local and national levels.
03Strengthen community-based structures, including chiefs, community leaders, women and youth groups, to support rights protection and referral pathways for victims of rights violations.
04Advocate for policy reform and justice-sector improvements that address barriers faced by women, children and poor people, including adequately resourced, decentralised and gender-sensitive legal aid.
05Foster collaboration among legal aid providers, civil society organisations, law enforcement agencies, non-state actors, partners and government institutions.
06Help create a coordinated, inclusive and sustainable access-to-justice framework.
